The editorial proposal for AVENUE 14 raises a question about what is often left out of real estate valuation: the accumulated value of the territory. From this perspective, land represents more than a surface available for construction; it is also a space capable of producing food, preserving biodiversity, and supporting economic and community activities. The editors’ proposal seeks to bring these attributes into conversation with real estate development, considering agriculture, nature, landscape, history, and community as elements that also create value. In this view, justifying land use means asking what role it plays and what it can contribute to the territory.

AVENUE 14 propone reconsiderar el suelo desde su valor productivo, ecológico y cultural
La propuesta editorial de AVENUE 14 plantea una pregunta sobre aquello que suele quedar fuera de la valoración inmobiliaria: el valor acumulado del territorio. Desde esta perspectiva, la tierra no representa únicamente una superficie disponible para construir, sino también un espacio capaz de producir alimentos, conservar biodiversidad y sostener actividades económicas y comunitarias. La propuesta de los editores busca poner estos atributos en conversación con el desarrollo inmobiliario, considerando agricultura, naturaleza, paisaje, historia y comunidad como elementos que también construyen valor. Así, justificar el uso de la tierra implica preguntarse qué función cumple y qué puede aportar al territorio.
