Within the AVENUE 14 editorial proposal, the Sustainable Territorial Planning Model (MOST) offers a way to approach how territorial planning is structured in San Miguel de Allende. Developed by IMPLAN, the model considers variables such as soil, water availability, roads, and ecological value to determine the suitability of each area and apply restrictive factors related to environmental risks. The result includes 77 Environmental and Territorial Management Units (UGATs), with compatible, conditional, or incompatible land uses. For the editors, understanding this tool makes it possible to consider where the city can grow and under what conditions.
